Makman joins Ericsson, Google Cloud, Red Hat, Singtel, and Optus in a New Catalyst Project

Makman Technology Consulting is proud to announce its participation in the TM Forum Catalyst project “From Data to Resolution: Agentic AI and the Network”, an industry-led initiative focused on turning network knowledge into near real-time, autonomous fault resolution.

As networks grow more complex, resolving faults quickly and accurately still depends heavily on specialist expertise, which leads to slower response times and inconsistent outcomes. This Catalyst addresses that challenge with a knowledge plane that captures alarms, topology data, service intent, incident records, and operational expertise in a semantic knowledge graph. Agentic AI-powered root cause analysis (RCA) assistants reason over this knowledge in near real time. They identify causal relationships, assess service impact, and recommend the most effective resolution actions.

What sets the project apart is its combination of ontology-driven reasoning, knowledge management, and agentic AI orchestration. The result is an explainable and trustworthy approach to automation. Engineers can see the reasoning behind each recommendation while progressively increasing the share of faults resolved with minimal human intervention. By reducing Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), communications service providers can limit service disruption, protect revenue, and lower the cost of major incidents. Cross-domain visibility across RAN, core, transport, OSS/BSS, and IT also removes silos between teams.

This collaboration reflects our commitment to driving practical innovation in autonomous networks. We are working alongside TM Forum and our Catalyst partners Ericsson, Google Cloud, Red Hat, Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel), and Singtel Optus Pty Limited (Optus) to help accelerate knowledge-powered, vendor-agnostic network operations aligned with TM Forum standards.

We will showcase the Catalyst at Innovate Asia on 18 November 2026 in Bangkok. We look forward to meeting you there.

TM Forum Catalyst projects are collaborative, proof-of-concept initiatives designed to solve real-world industry challenges and demonstrate the art of the possible through open innovation.
